I live in Minnesota, a great book-reading state and, over the years, I’ve attended about a hundred meetings. I’m always flattered when book groups include my novels on their lists. When my schedule permits, I’m thrilled to meet with people who avidly discuss my characters and stories. And I’m often amazed when they have insights in my books and see things I didn’t even know were there. It’s my belief that stories save us. Book clubs honor the saving grace of stories and for that I say, “May they forever flourish!”
